80's prom night

I love the 80's, what a blast. Big hair, neon clothes, and great music. We had an 80's prom on Friday night. I went stag, and had a great time. There was roller skating, limbo stick, and even a dance contest. In the aftermath I lost my voice from screeching like a school girl every time a good song would come on (which was all night) some of my favorite's were: pour some sugar on me, walk like an Egyptian, Michael Jackson's Bad, Thriller and Billie Jean, baby got back and of course love shack.

Here are some pictures for your enjoyment.

My big girl

Can somebody please tell me how my baby girl got to be so big. One minute she is dependent on me for everything, the next it's "all by myself" and she is climbing out of her bed. I guess that's the big news in our house Addie is sleeping in big girl bed. We have started potty training and so far so good. Addie's new favorite song is head, shoulders, knees, and toes, and her favorite book is Mother Goose's Nursery Rhymes. She still loves Elmo, balls, and dolls.

She has really become quite the story teller. The other day after bath time I put her on my bed without a diaper on, next thing I know she said "I pooped on Mommy's bed" I ran over to her and as I pick her up I don't see any poop. She laughs and says "Mommy I trick you." Who knew she had a sense of humor. Some of her other favorite words are "What," "Mommy look," (this one she repeat over and over again) and "Where are you?" (said in a sing song voice)

We are both really excited to get Brandon home, only 8 more days.

Back in the groove

I am back in Oak harbor and getting back into my groove. The house seems so empty without Brandon and my family. We took 6 days to drive to Oak Harbor from Utah, and along the way we had a great time. Friday the 24th we left Utah at 7:00 am. Addie had been up since 5:30 so I was worried. But about 30 minutes in she fell asleep and stayed that way until Tremonton where we stopped for breakfast. We made another stop in Idaho falls for gas and to let Addie run around. We made it to Dillon Montana just in time to avoid a freak hail storm. Well almost in time, my dad had to go move his motorcycle, the wind almost blew his bike over. He was drenched from head to toe.

Spokane, WA

We made it to Spokane early Saturday afternoon. We went to the lake for awhile, and Phillip kicked my butt in a swim off, but it felt good to get some exercise. Addie preferred the small stream. Later that night we went to the park down town. Addie loved playing at the park, especially the big wagon slide
