Life as we know it

Just wanted to update you on our lives. Addyson went to a birthday party on Saturday with her friends, she had so much fun. The best was after the "pin the nose on the Elmo" game. Addie wore the blind fold like a cape.

It was a Minnie Mouse party, this is us wearing our ears.

My parents flew in to Seattle yesterday, and we took a boat tour of the Puget Sound before heading back to Oak Harbor. It was a lot of fun. Here are some pictures.







This week is a light week of running. I ran 9 miles this morning (almost all hills) it kicked my butt, but Friday we do 3 miles, and then rest until the race on Sunday YEAH!!! I will post pictures of the race, and let you know if I survive on Monday.

St. Patty's Day

We had a great day on Tuesday. After story time at the library we went to the gym. Later that afternoon we went to the St. Patty's day parade,that lasted a whole 10 minutes, Addyson had a blast.

After the parade we went to my friend Danielle's house for some corn beef and cabbage. This was my first experience, and believe it or not I like cabbage. I know my family, and close friends will be shocked. Me, Julie Elliott, eating cabbage, the same girl who ate M&M's with my veggies to hide the taste, likes cabbage. It was amazing.

The next day I promised Addie a bike ride, we stopped at the park, and Addyson went down the "big" slide all my herself. It made me a little nervous but she did great.

These last pictures are from last week, all of us "single" spouses had dinner at my friend Mia's house. The kids played, and had a great time, while we had some adult time.

I took a few pictures of Addie the other day, and she kept saying "more" this is the first time she has ever stayed still for a picture (it helped she was in her car seat. Anyway I thought I would share a few pictures with you.

As for me I ran 12 miles on Tuesday, one more and I am ready for the half marathon. My parents are coming out in a week and I can't wait to have some company.

Love Song

I just added a new song to my blog called "come on get higher" The 1st verse just stopped me in my tracks. All I could think of is I do miss the sound of Brandon's voice. I do want to be drowned in his love. I know this is sappy but take a minute listen to some of the words, and if you have a loved one far away you will know what I am talking about.

Last weekend together

Well Brandon left bright and early this morning, but we had a great weekend together. Friday we had a date night, we went to dinner at Baycity Bistro,then out for ice cream, and ended with a movie at home.

Saturday was my first 10k race down in LaConner, it was called the Smelt Run. I ran it with a few of my friends. We had a blast. I finished in 51:20 not bad for a first timer. Here are a few pictures of the race.

Brandon's birthday is March 4th and since he won't be here for it we went to dinner with a group of friends later that night.We had a great time. It was a perfect last weekend.
