Party, Party, Party

Well Addie's 2nd First Birthday was a success. We had it at a park. Brandon's Dad and girl friend came up from Oregon. And my family flew in from Utah. Addyson got a four wheeler and she loved it. We couldn't get her off of it. She also got a motorcycle, a music box, Elmo reading books, and some cute clothes.

We flew home to Utah yesterday, now I am trying to get Addie use to the new environment. Here are a few pictures from her party.

This is the before and after pictures of the cake. She was a little shy at first but she soon dove in.

This is a picture of all the girls wearing our Tinkerbell head bands.

One year check up.

Addyson had her one year check up today. She is 27.8 inches tall, and weighs 17 lb 3 oz. She lost weight from last visit, she was 18 lbs 1 oz. The doctor wants me to put her on whole milk and try to fatten her up a little. ( she must have Brandon's genes). I think it's because she is so active and she doesn't eat much. She only eats about 1/2 to 3/4 of the jar of baby food. I have added big people food (toast, fruit, crackers and cookies) but she just doesn't eat a lot.(definitely not like her Mom).

She has two more teeth coming in so that will make four. It's the top left tooth and the bottom left tooth. I tried to get her to open her mouth so you could see her teeth. She opened her mouth but I couldn't see her teeth. The pictures was just too cute not to share.

Brandon's been gone one week. Addie calls him on her Elmo phone every day to say "I love you" My family is coming in to town tomorrow YEAH!!! So you may not here from me for awhile.

Happy Birthday Addyson

June 19th 2007. My day started off at 2:30 am when my water broke. I woke Brandon up and we excitedly went to the hospital (Addie was already one week late). We waited until it was a decent hour to call my parents since we were in Jacksonville Florida and they were 3 hours behind us in Utah. We called at 8:00 am our time 5:00 am their time. I figured my dad would be up for work, but we woke him up oops! After a few more hours of labor Addyson's heart rate dropped and at Noon they started talking about a c-section. After we called everyone Brandon went in to get dressed and I was in the OR room getting ready for an epidural. When suddenly Addie's heart rate dropped way too low. They told Brandon he couldn't come in. People started running around, they put something in my IV and I was out. at 1:23 pm my beautiful daughter was born. I woke up in a room all alone wondering what had happened. Finally I was reunited with my family. It was such a wonderful day.

Here it is one year later and I couldn't be happier. Addyson is such a joy to be around. I entered Addyson's art work in an exhibit at the library, and today they had a ceremony to honor the kids. They all got a certificate and some paints. Addyson was the youngest artist there. Her art work is hanging in a store down town. We plan on going to the park today and having a special dinner for her birthday.

Happy First Birthday Addyson, Mommy and Daddy Love you.

My Daddy

Well Brandon left this morning for his second detachment to the Middle East. It was sad to see him go but we were lucky to have him here for Father's Day, and we had a wonderful weekend. On Saturday we went to a car show during the day then in the afternoon Brandon and I painted a doll house we got for Addie to put her tea set in.

Sunday we went to church then went on a drive and had a picnic. It was so great to spend time with him before he left. This is suppose to be a short deployment only a few months so we are hoping to have him home sometime in August.

These are the pictures of Brandon and Addyson at the carshow. Addie liked playing in the grass and riding on Daddy's shoulders.

I got this onesie made for Addie. It is a replica of Brandon's flight suit. It has the same patches. And it's hard to see but it has a name tag with wings on it. Since Brandon's call sign is Mclovin Addie's flight suit says Baby Mclovin

These are a few pictures of us on Fathers day. We actually had sunshine that day. It was only 60 degrees but the sun was out.
Here are the pictures of the doll house we painted for Addie. I got her a tea set for her birthday but they are glass so we wanted them displayed on the wall. We had a lot of fun painting and hanging this.

Addyson's First 1st Birthday

Since Brandon is leaving in 5 days, and will miss Addyson's Birthday, we decided to do a party last Saturday. Brandon's Mom and Aunt Jodee drove up from Oregon and a few of Addie's friends came over. We had a great time. Addie got lots of Elmo toys, clothes, and toys to play in the sand with. Here are a few pictures of the party and the weekend with Grandma Elliott and Aunt JoJo.

This is the Lady Bug cake Brandon and I made for her party.

Addyson playing in her cake, she was so funny she just rested her hands in her cake.

Addyson's Hair

I am taking a poll so cast your vote at the side of this page. Here are the options.

Natural Mullet

Mohawk
Pigtails

Bow

Barrettes

This is just until we get to Utah at the end of June then Grandma Susan is going to cut it. Addyson has super thin hair and it's very blonde so even the hair she has doesn't show up in pictures. Poor thing.

I am losing my mind

So the other day Brandon and I are in the kitchen where I have red striped martini glasses hanging for display. Brandon sarcastically says. "I am sure glad we keep these martini glasses we never use." I say sincerely "Me too my mom gave them to me for Christmas and they mean a lot to me." He rolls his eyes. His policy is if we don't use it by the next move we get rid of it. But I love fancy glasses, I collect wine glasses and martini glasses, all kinds of glasses. So I decided to use them as a dessert cups that night to prove to him that I do use them.

Here is where I lose my mind. In our house who ever cooks the other one does dishes. So Brandon hates dessert because I always make it and he has to clean up. Which we eat it at 8:00 pm, and he is usually asleep on the couch by 8:15, then I try to wake him to clean it up. He promises to do it in the morning, he gets up at 5:30 am goes to work and at 7:00 am when I come down stairs the dishes are still there.

Here is how I remember the night. We just got done eating dessert when my phone rings it was my sister. I went into the kitchen to talk to her. When I got back to the front room the dessert dishes are gone. I ask Brandon if he did them (I don't remember seeing him do them) he starts laughing and says yes. I think he has hid the dishes somewhere so I look around the front room but I don't see the dishes, but Brandon has a funny look on his face so I am still weary.

The next morning Brandon asks if I figured out who did the dishes. I say "no" he said I did them while talking on the phone. I guess I went in got the dishes and did them. I seriously do not recall doing this. I guess my subconscious needed to make sure the dishes got done.

All about Addie

Well this weekend I picked up a few new toys for Addie. My favorite is the slide for the back yard I found it at a garage sale for $5. I had been pricing similar items at the stores and they were all over $100. This is faded but who cares Addie loves it. She was able to climb up all by herself and she soon learned how to slide down by herself. She tried several times to climb up the slide by herself but has not mastered it yet.

The other toy she got is this wheel barrow, which she didn't have much use for until Brandon put her in it and took her for a ride. She didn't laugh or smile the whole time so he stopped and tried to get her out and she started crying. She wanted us to keep pushing her(which hurts your back since you have to bend over). It's funny because when you look at the pictures she doesn't look happy but she loved it. We couldn't get her out, and it was time for me and Brandon to eat our dinner so we turned on Elmo and she watched it while sitting in the wheel barrow (last two picture). It was hilarious.

The last thing we did this weekend was spend some time playing soccer. Now that Addie is walking Brandon has her learning to kick the ball. She scored his first goal it was cute.
