2nd Port Estonia

Our second stop on the cruise was Estonia, and it was one of my favorite. We did the Rick Steves tour on our own. Here are a few of my favorite pictures. I think I took over a hundred :) View as we pulled in to the port.

Fat Margaret Tower, this guarded the entry gate of the town.

Town hall square (Raekoja Plats)

Holy Ghost Church (Puhavaimu kirik)

Russian Cathedral and Toompea Castle. Most Estonians don't like this church, is was a crass attempt to flex Russian control muscles during a period of Estonian national revival.

City wall

Estonian traditonal lunch, Brandon got the Pork Knuckle, he loved it.

He talked me into the wild boar, it was horrible.

In the old town there is a place called "sweater wall" where they sell hand made wool items. We got Reese this wool hat, and a doll. We found a hand carved stick horse for Addy, and a doll wearing a traditional Estonian dress.

A view of the town

Addy stayed on the boat, and had a great time, now it's time for bed.
